CHRISTMAS BAZAAR

I thank Carol Costello who organized and directed this year’s Christmas Bazaar. I also thank Midge O’Leary and Diana Wilson who volunteered to be Carol’s first assistants. Together, this Trio managed this year’s bazaar. The bazaar was a great success. How big of a success is yet to come.

I also thank those members of the parish who worked with the Trio in all sorts of ways. Some worked till they were close to exhaustion. Thank you all.

I also thank everyone who donated something to the bazaar. Without your donations there would be no bazaar. Again, thank you. Special thanks goes to the anonymous parishioner who donated the winning ticket in the one thousand dollar raffle to the parish.

It will take a few days for all the bills connected with the bazaar to come in. And taxes need to be paid. Then Carol, Midge and Diana will make their report to the parish and will thank those who helped in all sorts of ways.

THANKSGIVING

There will be an Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service this evening (Sunday) at the Wilmington United Methodist Church. It starts at 6 o’clock. We shall have a Mass of Thanksgiving this Wednesday evening at 7 o’clock and at 8:30 on Thanksgiving morning.

FOOD COLLECTION

The next food collection will take place on the weekend of December 12 and 13th. The collected foods will be given to the Wilmington Food Pantry.
