2008 CATHOLIC APPEAL
HANDING ON THE LIGHT OF CHRIST
Cardinal Seán sends his thanks to everyone from St. Dorothy’s who pledged to the 2008 Catholic Appeal during Catholic Appeal Weekend
“The Gifts We Have, We Are Given To Share.” Success in the eyes of God is not about the quantity or quality of our material goods. Instead, it’s about how we use those goods; do they move us closer to God, or are they an obstacle? God calls us to share what we have to help others. By providing support for many different ministries of the Church, the Catholic Appeal offers everyone a chance to exercise Christian stewardship. If you have not yet made your gift, please consider making a pledge this weekend. You can pick up information packets with pledge forms in the back of the church. Thank you!

This Sunday the parish is providing a pancake breakfast for those who have received First Comunion during the past few weeks and for their immediate families. The first grade parents and teens from the Confirmation classes have volunteered their time to set up, cook, serve, and clean up. It is a special event for families to celebrate the year and to make new friends. Thank you to all who have made this possible.
Registration forms are available at the front door of the church for new and returning families. New families may fill out the green forms and call the religious education office (978)-658-9713) to make an appointment to register. Returning families may mail the white forms to 11 Harnden Street, Wilmington, MA 01887.
Kids will be in for a treat this summer during the week of July 14-18. The Vacation Bible School (VBS) sponsored by all the churches in Wilmington, will be taking place at the First Baptist Church on Church Street. Come to Power Lab VBS for a bubbly, slimy week of fun. Applications are on the table at the front door of the church.
