ANNUAL MARCH FOR LIFE

    On Thursday, January 21, 2010, I am going to join a group that will travel by bus for Washington, D.C. to participate in the Thirty-Seventh Annual March For Life on Friday, January 22nd. While in Washington we shall visit the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception and lobby our representatives in Congress on behalf of the unborn. The trip includes transportation to and around Washington and hotel rooms for two nights. The cost of the trip is $195 per person double occupancy. I can give you additional details or you can call Janet to register at 781-324-3564. The unborn are not able to speak so they need someone like you and me to speak for them.

    Classes which usually meet this week from Wednesday to Sunday are cancelled because of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

    Young adults from Boston University Campus Ministry are preparing to give the Grade 9 retreat to our students during the afternoon of Saturday, December 5th in the church hall.

    The second Confirmation special event for candidates and sponsors will be on Sunday,, December 6th beginning with the 6:00 PM Mass. Catholic school students are also required to attend.

    St. Dorothy’s will be having a Giving Tree again this year to support Heartbeat. With our help Heartbeat is able to give support to needy families who choose life – they have over 80 babies born this year already! Our Giving Tree will be up for masses starting the weekend after Thanksgiving November 28th/29th and we hope you will take an “ornament” and help support Heartbeat’s families.
